Summit, a town of
about 600 residents, is located on Scenic Highway 14 in the
center of Marion County, about 30 miles from the Arkansas and
Missouri state line. Division Street separates Summit from
the town of Yellville, and Summit was formerly known as North
Yellville. The children of Summit attend Yellville-Summit schools.
Summit is just north of Crooked Creek – Arkansas’s
well-known smallmouth bass fishery. The White River is within
10 miles, and Bull Shoals Dam and Lake are about 15 miles.
Summit is within just a few miles of the White River and less
than 30 miles from the Buffalo National River Park.
